Four things a general-purpose model will not give a parent.
Anyone can put a child in front of a model and ask it to explain fractions. What that does not give you is a per-child record, an off switch you actually control, a syllabus that remembers what they have covered, or any way to check whether the explanation was grounded in the lesson. FLE is engineered against each of those.

Every child on your account has their own control set, and you hold it. You can turn the AI tutor off entirely for one child and leave it on for another, cap how many minutes a day they study, and set the content level they work at. The tutor honours the setting in the product rather than being asked nicely to — when it is off for a child, it is off in their session. A parent who wants Arthur teaching one of their children and not another does not have to run two accounts.

A profile picker, not a shared login
You land on a "Who’s learning?" screen with each child in their own colour, and tapping one opens a real session scoped to that child — their courses, their progress, their tutor history, not a filtered view of a family pile. A persistent bar lets you exit back to the parent view from wherever you are. Add a child when you need to. Their work stays theirs, which matters when siblings are years apart.

Home-schooling parents are the faculty, so FLE gives them the faculty surface: a dashboard, the courses in play, each child’s record, and analytics down to individual course performance. You can see where a child is stuck before they tell you. Arthur does the reasoning and the drilling; the decision about what your child studies, and whether an explanation was good enough, stays with you.

Add your children and decide the rules for each of them
Create a profile for each child on the account. Set a family PIN so the parent view and the controls are not one tap away from a curious eight-year-old. Then, per child, decide whether the AI tutor is available to them at all, what daily time limit applies, and what content level they work at. These are recorded against the child, with the consent you gave, rather than being a single household-wide switch.

From the "Who’s learning?" screen, tap a child to drop into their session. They take the Learning Profile assessment, and their courses and lesson player are scoped to them. Lessons run as sequenced steps with progress tracked per step, so a child resumes exactly where they stopped rather than rereading to find the place. You return to the parent view whenever you want from the persistent bar.

Where you have left the tutor on, Arthur streams his reasoning as he works and cites the lesson a claim came from, so a child can follow the path rather than copy the answer — and you can check it. Practice and review build from lessons that child has completed, and the decks schedule by spaced repetition so the things they keep missing come back around instead of being quietly dropped.

The guardian dashboard collects each child’s record in one place, with analytics per course so you can see which topic is going badly before it becomes a bad week. The learner model surface — "what Arthur knows" about a child — is readable rather than hidden, so the system’s picture of your child is something you can inspect and disagree with.

Adjust the boundaries as the child changes
Controls are not a one-time setup. Raise the content level, extend or remove the daily limit, or switch the tutor on for a child who was not ready for it last term — per child, without disturbing their siblings. Completing a course issues a certificate, and certificates can be verified from a public link.
The questions parents ask.
Straight answers on the tutor off switch, keeping children out of the controls, whether siblings share a login, and what happens to your children's data. Where the controlling document is the Privacy Policy — or where the answer is properly 'that is your responsibility, not ours to claim' — the answer says so.
Who is FLE for?
Families teaching at home. The account holder is a parent or guardian, and the learners are their children, each with their own profile on the one account. It is the edition to look at if you are the person responsible for a child’s education rather than a school or a training provider. If you are studying for yourself with no one else on the account, PLE is the edition built for that; the four institutional editions cover schools, universities, vocational providers and employers.
Can I stop my child using the AI tutor?
Yes, per child. The AI tutor is a control on each child’s profile, not a household-wide setting, so you can leave it on for an older child and off for a younger one. When it is off for a child, the product blocks it in that child’s session rather than relying on them not to open it. You can change it at any time as they get older.
How do you keep a child out of the parent controls?
A family PIN. You set it on the account, and it gates the guardian side — the controls, the switcher and the parent view — so getting back out of a child session and changing the rules is not something a child can do by tapping around. You can change or remove the PIN yourself.
Do my children share one login?
No. Each child has their own profile, and switching into a child opens a session scoped to that child — their own courses, progress, practice history and tutor conversations. Siblings do not see each other’s work, and a child’s record does not get mixed into a household average. You move between them from the "Who’s learning?" screen.
Is this a cut-down version of the school edition?
No. FLE runs the same Eve-Education™ compound architecture as the institutional editions, and its learner surface matches the university edition’s — the sequenced lesson player, the reasoning-visible tutor with grounded citations, practice generated from completed lessons, spaced-repetition decks, the library, and the Learning Profile assessment. What FLE adds on top is the guardian layer; what it removes is the institution.
Does ArthurAI replace me as the teacher?
No, and the product is not built to. Arthur is a Digital Employee that does the reasoning work — explaining, drilling, tracking what has been learned and what has not — while the decisions stay with you: what your child studies, whether the tutor is available to them, how long they work, and whether an explanation was good enough. The motto on this page is the design constraint, not a slogan: the AI reasons; the parent decides.
Does this satisfy my state’s home-schooling requirements?
We do not make that claim. Home-schooling notification, record-keeping, assessment and portfolio requirements differ by state and country and change over time, and meeting them is your responsibility. FLE gives you per-child records, course analytics and completion certificates that may be useful evidence, but you should check what your jurisdiction requires and how it must be reported rather than assuming the product covers it.
What happens to my children’s data?
Children’s work is used to run the product for them — to generate their curriculum, build practice from the lessons they completed, and let Arthur work from their own material. Customer data is not used to train AI models, and prompts and responses are not logged as a matter of engineering standard. The Privacy Policy is the controlling statement, and /trust/data-handling sets out who processes what; read those rather than relying on this summary.
